Updates!

Hi guys! I’ve been off the internet scene for quite sometime. The truth of the matter is that since December it had been a complete computer shutdown mode for me. No blogs. No socializing on the net. Not even one e-mail sent.

Why?  For a number of reasons…

Firstly, my fiance came over last New Year’s eve from UK.  After 11 months of not seeing each other, well, you know what that meant…ha! ha! ha! Hey, it’s not what you think. Naturally we had a lot of catching up to do - mostly updating one another on our goings-on, inter-personal affairs, attending to visa requirements vis-a-vis our plan to live together in UK and of course, bonding with my 2 kiddos. Those sort of things…

Secondly, since blog offers were coming in trickles and in fact have dried up, I started joining the employment lines. Perseverance paid off! I was hired as Asst. Merchandise Manager in February in a trading company specializing on women’s accessories..  Which keeps me on my toes well beyond the regular 9 to 5 working grind. Frankly its that kind of “over-worked and under-paid” situation. Which make me rethink my options.

Another reason was that my oldest son Sid Vincent, who is in second  grade, was getting behind in school. Not his fault though. The drawback was that he didn’t had the opportunity to get exposed to the basics of learning. I wasn’t able to get him to nursery and kindergarten school for lack of financial resources.  I had to find the time to sit down and guide him through the required academics. Which even necessitated getting tutorial help.

That I have been busy, that things have been tough, is an understatement… Not that I’m complaining…

Well, my fiance is back in UK. School is over. So, here I am - backon the net time permitting…

Author: User Imagescattered brain (Who am I?)  /  Category: Internet Info, Relationship

The mother-of-two's family was left devastated by her brutal murderOMG! In a fit of rage, a man killed his wife with a kitchen knife because his wife, Emma changed her FACEBOOK profile to “SINGLE” status. Wayne Forrester told police he was “devastated and humiliated” that wife Emma had changed her online profile to “single” four days after he had moved out.  Forrester, was found guilty and sentenced to life in jail, and ordered to serve a minimum of 14 years in England.

Friday, 17 October 2008 15:36 UK, BBC NEWS REPORTS:

Forrester, an HGV driver, was drunk and high on cocaine when he attacked the mother of two in the early hours as she slept.

The day before the murder, he called her parents and complained about his wife’s Facebook entry which he said “made her look like a fool”, the court heard.

In a statement to police Forrester said: “Emma and I had just split up. She forced me out.

“She then posted messages on an internet website telling everyone she had left me and was looking to meet other men.

“I loved Emma and felt totally devastated and humiliated about what she had done to me.”

In a victim impact statement, Mrs Forrester’s sister Liza Rothery said the murder had had a “devastating” impact on her and parents Frances and Robert.

Miss Rothery added: “What on earth could Emma have done to result in such a brutal, callous attack on a defenceless woman?”

Worst Seller on eBay!

Author: User Imagescattered brain (Who am I?)  /  Category: For Her, Gifts, Personal

What a bloody lousy service! I was on eBay 3 weeks ago and bought a birthday gift for mom Kathleen. I bid on a wrist watch and won the item and paid it right away! After a few days the seller emailed me that I need to pick similar item on their list because the previous item was damaged. So anyway, I did and sent a reply to confirmed the shipping address. After the last email, I never heard from them anymore. I asked my fiance if mom got the package already cause I thought it will just take a week or two since the item location is within UK only.

So, I decided to follow-up my order 4 days ago. Again, they replied and guess what? They’re asking me to pick another similar item again!!!! They’re telling me that the replacement item from the 1st item was sold out already!!! This means that they did not dispatch the replacement item and they don’t even inform me about this 3 weeks ago???? GRRR! They are so annoying! Unresponsive! Unprofessional! Poor service!

This is not my 1st time to bid and bought something on eBay… I never encountered such bloody thing like this before.. They are the worst seller ever on ebay!

I was totally mad about this, so I emailed them this morning and threatened them to respond and ship the items within 24 hours or else I will ask full refund and report them to eBay management! Am I too bad or too good?? We’ll see if they are scared enough!

Author: User Imagescattered brain (Who am I?)  /  Category: Personal

Fiance and I checked the status of our application this morning.  After 8 days from the date of his interview,  finally the new status says “Processed application returned to courier 24 Jul 2008″.

Now we have to wait for my passport to be returned, hopefully today or tomorrow with my visa, so we will be together on my birthday. But we will not get too excited yet till we know it is in place.

Read my previous post about visa application. Thanks! Enjoy reading.. ;)

Chocolates melted into goey mess!

Author: User Imagescattered brain (Who am I?)  /  Category: Gifts, Personal

I got a package today from my sweetie in Great Britain. A box handed over to me by a messenger from Las Pinas Postal Office, the guy asked me to pay 35Php???! Which I didn’t know that I have to pay for it coz I think it was covered already from the time he purchased it from the online store. It’s full of Easter Egg chocolates inside the box. A surprised present for us last Sunday but it just arrived this afternoon. Anyway, I was really disappointed not with my sweetie or the content of the box.. I was really disappointed with the online store where the items purchased, when I opened the box all the chocolates have melted into goey mess!!! Next time they must send it via air courier like FedEx or DHL.. Never mind to pay extra as long as the items are still in a good condition. What a lousy service!!!! Click here to see the pics…
