Update: What a week!!!

It has been a rough week for me! The truism or not that problems come in bundles, or, when it rains it pours, I found myself at the receiving end of a nerve-wracking week.

To tick off my woes, my son came home almost in tears, the worried look on his face a tell-tale sign of trouble or that something is wrong at the very least. After some prodding, he blurted out he was humiliated because his teacher got mad at him that she kicked his desk in front of his classmates.  I calmed him down and told him I’ll get to the bottom of it and will have a talk with the teacher or principal of the school the following school day. What precipitated the teacher’s ire, I was informed, was my son’s mischief. Allegedly he was boisterous and unruly in class - fooling with classmates while the teacher was talking. Granted that’s true, still that’s not enough reason for the over-reaction and  told her in so many words. The teacher apologized and we put a closure to the incident. Of course if she does it again, I won’t hesitate taking up the matter with the school principal. Or take her head off… he!he!he!

Next, came a row with my nasty neighbor.  Over “unswept puddles of sudsy water” - of all things would you believe. My nasty neighbor put out her washing machine and does her laundry right on the common driveway. What peeved me is she never bother to clean up after she’s done even if the driveway gets muddy. Months of tolerance until we can’t take it anymore. A confrontation ensued:  exchange of words, tempers flared! The snooty American “husband” of the tenant came over - wanting an explanation what the brouhaha was all about, why the fuss!  Further exchange of words flew back and forth, everybody bitching - made matters worse! The son of the landlord had to step in to ease the situation. But there is no getting patched-up. Todate, the ill-feeling is still simmering on both sides. My nasty neighbor sensing my good rapport with the landlord, is dropping word that they might just move out. Good riddance I should say!!!

As if my troubles are not enough, came the worst news! My mother got robbed! In broad daylight! At gunpoint she was divested of Pesos 15,000 while she was on her way to pay her electric bill. We had to scramble to source the money to pay the bill…

What a week!!! How was yours?
