The Robinsons Emita is the very first shopping mall in Ermita/Malate in 1980s. It was a popular hangout for students from the university belt and nearby exclusive schools and colleges, as well as a favorite of tourists and foreigners. The RLC in 1990, redeveloped the property into a mixed-use complex that is included a shopping mall and a residential condominium. Completed in year 2000 is the two-level Padre Faura Wing as an expansion wing which is connected to the twin residential tower, Robinsons Place Residences. Read more…

Tagaytay Field Trip ‘08

Author: User Imagescattered brain (Who am I?)  //  Category: Personal, Travel and Leisure

My son and I went to Tagaytay last Thursday, July 17th for his class educational field trip to Tagaytay - I the mommy acting as chaperon. But more than that I thought it was a good time to bond with my son.  We woke up at 5am to give us enough time to prepare ourselves - the assembly time being 7am at Camella School. We departed at around 7:30am cause we have to wait for the latecomers. (You know Filipino time) I must admit I’m one of them.. hahaha!

Anyway, our first destination was Paradizoo Theme Farm, we arrived there at 9:30am; it is located in Mendez, Cavite some few minutes away from Tagaytay. They breed and take care of different farm animals and nurture various trees, vegetables and flowers. We had lunch there at around 11:30am. Sid had a whale of a time and immensely thrilled by horseback riding.

Our second destination was The Residence Inn, one of the more popular destination among visitors to  Tagaytay and for field trips among students in  Metro Manila and adjacent towns and cities. It has a conference hall, restaurant, rooms for rent, playground, and several view decks where you can have a panoramic view of the famous Taal Volcano.

After Residence Inn, our last stop was in Collettes store and fruit stand. We bought 2 boxes of Buco Pie, Boat Tart, fresh Pineapples, Papaya and Avocados for pasalubong (present).

My son Sid really enjoyed the trip, we were talking on our way back home. He was really happy and enjoyed the trip a lot. He said he would love to go back to Tagaytay again and again. Well, his last trip to Tagaytay when he was 4 years old. When we got home I was very exhausted. Ifelt like I lost 10 pounds (I wish!) cause I’ve been walking.. walking and walking and his yaya for the whole day trip… hehehe! But it’s worth it. It was a good break for me from the hustle and bustle of work but more importantly the bonding between mom and son should yield dividends and reinforce our love for each other.  We both agree that we should come back with the whole family next time…

Womens Harley-Davidson Helmets

When it comes to motorcycle, who haven’t heard of a Harley-Davidson? The fact is, to true motorcycle enthusiasts, Harley-Davidson is an icon.

A throwback to the bobby-soxers generation of the 40’s and 50’s - whether its hanging out time with the gang, interstate motoring jaunt with the pack, or just strutting around, or answering the taunt and challenge of rival groups to spine-tingling bike race - nothing beats doing it all on a Harley. It was the absolute high then riding the fave bike feeling the adrenalin rush, savoring the oohs and ahs of adoring onlookers, the peacock pride that comes with owning this much sought-after motorcycle.

What a wonderful day…

Author: User Imagescattered brain (Who am I?)  //  Category: Automotive, Personal

Yesterday my kids and I went to the car show at the World Trade Center.. It was so much fun.

My kids really enjoyed looking at the mind-boggling array of cars at the show - from family sedans, vans, luxury cars and yes, sports and race cars too. Toyotas, Fords, BMWs, Jaguars - all fascinates my kids, especially my youngest son, Anton. He was introduced to the world of car racing when at the young age of 2, we brought him to a race car track which had a great impact on his mind and set him into a passionate liking for the sport. Now whenever he sees any type of motor vehicles, even on magazines or TV, it sets him off on his self-imagined world of car racing. Wonder of wonders, he can differentiate cars and vans from race cars. A budding race car driver on our hands?
