Yep! I was greeted @ Manxradio.com.  My fiance surprised me this morning.. My fiance and I was talking while we were both listening to his fav FM station in Manxradio.com. It was Dj Bernie Quayle who greeted me.. I didn’t know that my fiance was texting the Dj while talking to me in ym.. WOW! It’s my 1st time to be greeted in a foreign FM radio station.. So ashamed I forgot to record them.. coz I didn’t know it was going to happen…

Dj Bernie says… he juz got a text from Steve, and the text was “Hi Bernie can you say hi to my fiancee Rosenyl listening in the Philippines”. He even spell my name out coz he wasn’t sure if it is right or not.

Thanks DJ Bernie for reading my fiance’s text message on air.. Your the man! Max Radio rocks!

For my sweetie, thanks for making my day… That means a lot to me… ~iloveusomuch~

Signs That You’re A Filipino

Author: User Imagescattered brain (Who am I?)  /  Category: News and Society

You might be a Filipino if you have a very good sense of Mañana Habit.

Mañana Habit means putting off things to be done tomorrow. In Manx it is “Traa-dy-Liooar” which means time enough. (Trah the looar) Manx for “time enough”, either an incitement to take things easier, or as an insult for a lazy person. An equivalent of the Spanish “Mañana”, but without the same sense of urgency).. Hmmm.. what a weird word.. never heard before.. Anyhow, I’ve learned something from my luviduds today.. ;)

Here are the lists of Filipino mannerism and personality traits.

  1. -If you have a “barrel man” in your house, you may be filipino…(you know..the wooden man…when you lift up the barrel—-schwing!!!)
  2. -If you wash your clothes by hand, you might be Filipino.
  3. -If you use walis tambo and walis ting-ting, you just might be Filipino.
  4. -If you nail all photographs on your walls in the living room, you’re a Filipino.
  5. -If you have a very good sense of maniana habit, you might be Filipino.
  6. -If you smoke in your house
  7. -If you put up your knee while eating
  8. -If you eat kanin and ulam using your hand
  9. -If you are pakialamero
  10. -If you say Sugarol, babaero at tumador
  11. -If you are chismosa
  12. -If you say Comfort Room instead of Restroom.
  13. -If you say For Take Out instead of To-go.
  14. -If you point w/ your lips, then you might be a Filipino.
  15. -If you say open or close the lights, then you might be a Filipino.

UK Visa Refusal

Author: User Imagescattered brain (Who am I?)  /  Category: Personal

I got a package from UK VAC via 2go last friday. It was my passport and other docs that I’ve submitted to them. I was very disappointed and depressed after reading the letter of refusal. Unfortunately, my visa was refused for the following grounds according to Entry Clearance Officer:

IMMIGRATION ACT 1971- NOTICE OF REFUSAL OF ENTRY CLEARANCE

  • Fiancé’s birthday has elapsed.
  • No evidence has been submitted as to arrangements for your children’s welfare or their financial support during your proposed visit.
  • No evidence has been produced by sponsor to suggest that his landlord has consented to you living at his address.
  • The income you receive as a freelance internet blogger would still be available if you were not living here in there (Phil) and that leads me (ECO) to doubt whether you would leave the Isle of Man after the period stated.

Overall, the Entry Clearance Officer was not satisfied with all the evidence that I’ve submitted to them and he’s doubting me if I am genuine visitor and if I intend to leave the UK after the period stated.

It seems to me the Isle of Man “Entry Clearance Officer” who denied my entry clearance made a “HASTY decision – in the name of expediency”.

The reasons he cited look “FLIMSY” to me. And doesn’t “WASH”.

Fiancé and I have been together for 2 years now. He proposed to me last Nov. 26, 2007. He has been back and forth here in the Philippines. During his 1st visit (Jan. 2007) we traveled various part of Mindanao (my hometown); on his 2nd visit (Oct. 2007) we traveled together in Macao, China for the 54th Macau Grand Prix.

We decided to apply for a visit visa to visit him and meet the rest of his family and friends as well. He also want me to see the beautiful island of Isle of Man in Great Britain where he lives and where sons and I live when we eventually get married.
