Car Service JFK

Author: scattered brain (Who am I?)  /  Category: Travel and Leisure

New York City is still the top tourist draw and convention center in USA, even the world - the loss of the World Trade Center not withstanding. Where modernity, luxury and grand lifestyle are taken to the extreme. Expressed in its awesome monolithic skyscrapers, leading high-fashion, sybaritic hotels that offer the last word in luxury accommodations. Where else can you find a dazzling show of exotic dream cars littering the streets like a dime a dozen. Where the rich and famous and fabulous women soak in the sights and sounds of the operas, ballets or spend a fortune in one-of-a-kind piece of art, DIAMOND ring, or, fine dining in classy restaurants where the masterpieces of chefs of France, Italy, the Middle East and Asia are sumptuously offered.

But NYC is not just for the haves and those who have made it big. NYC has much to offer us lesser mortals too! Long lines form at the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, the Broadway Shows and of course the star attraction nowadays - Ground Zero. Tourists gravitate to NYC’s famous parks and zoos, museums and art galleries too. Add to these the spectacular parades topped by Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Irish and other ethnic day celebrations. And its guaranteed that you’ll have one heck of a grand time joining the celebrated New Year’s Eve countdown at Times Square - nothing beats that!

Whether you’re visiting the Big Apple for business or pleasure, your means of getting around is well provided. I mean that literally! Go Airlink NYC, one of the city’s better known operators of ground transportation, tour and sightseeing services in the Tri-State area, makes sure your travel needs are satisfied.

Go Airlink NYC has the wherewithal to fully serve your transportation needs, including:

* Offers car service jfk or throughout Westchester, Connecticut, La Guardia and Newark airports - to/from Manhattan Hotels, home or office and NYC cruise terminals.

* For group travellers, group services include private transfers, bus charters, group packages, meetings and conventions.

* Convenient on line reservation 24/7 or manned telephone reservation from 6 AM to 12 AM

Again, the choice is yours! Sky is the limit for the deep pockets, or go on a budget. Either way you’ll get commendable sure-fire service every step of the way.

Rates of course vary from one car service provider to another. Visit http://www.goairlink NYC.com for more details or to comparison shop for the best deal.

New York City Sightseeing

Author: scattered brain (Who am I?)  /  Category: Travel and Leisure

New York City - the Big Apple by the Hudson River immortalized in Frank Sinatra’s ditty as “King of the Hill”, “Top of the Heap”. New York City doesn’t take a backseat to any other city in America, even the world.

New York City is the epi-center of almost everything fabulous that touches our lives: towering architectural masterpieces, avant-garde fashion, the finest diamonds and jewelries money can buy, the height of excellence in music and arts, epicurean culinary concoctions by the who’s who chefs of the world, ritzy hotels that vie with one another in the ostentatious pampering of the rich and famous and of course those whom money is no object. The list goes on and on…

NYC is the sightseeing capital of the world - its allure not diminished by the loss of the World Trade Center. I say that perhaps with tongue-in-cheeck, but hey, where else can you find such example of effervescence of an accolade to a city and country as the Statue of Liberty, such magnificent landmarks as the Empire State Building, the awesome Brooklyn Bridge, the Grand Central Terminal, Battery Park, even the New York Stock Exhange. And no one should leave NYC without taking that royalty-feeling carriage ride through Central Park. How about a visit to NYC’s great museums, art galleries, operas and scintillating broadway shows. Or, experience the thrill of a lifetime with a riotous celebration of the countdown to New Year at Times Square.

And of course who would want to miss “Ground Zero” - the hallowed ground that has become the star draw of New York City Sightseeing attractions.

Speaking of New York City Sightseeing, you’ll get the best bang for the buck from engaging the services of City Sights NY. Look at what City Sights NY have to offer:

* Double Decker Buses designed for top deck only seating for that ringside view of NYC’s daytime lures and the night’s seduction when the Manhattan skyline is bathed in million lights. You can hop on, hop off these double deckers - perfect for those on the go, the adventurous and those on a budget.
* What’s a trip to NYC without shopping? City Sights NY offfers day shopping trips from pricey boutiques to the more reasonably priced shops and something in between - whichever you want.

Whatever your heart desires is the limit in touring services as far as City Sights NY is concerned.

Make your New York City Sightseeing more exciting and memorable than you’d expect. Let City Sights NY be your partner in crime in stealing the best time of your life in NYC.

Newark Airport Shuttle

Warning: driving in New York City can be dangerous to life and limb! If you’re not a local, heed the advice: don’t ever dare drive on the streets of the Big Apple!

Not to condemn New Yorkers collectively, but those “Kamikaze” drivers of NYC, particularly the cab drivers, are the worst traffic offenders in the whole world. These are maniacs hell-bent to reach their destination the only way they know how: FAST! Dangerously fast! Oblivious to traffic rules, they drive like crazy - zigzagging with abandon at breakneck speed every which way they can. To a taxi driver it seems the rule of the street is: give me an inch of space and I’ll force my cab through to get ahead - uncaring that there are vehicles to the left or right and in front he may nudge, bump or force to abruptly slam the brake. He stops on a dime without warning unmindful whether the following car is alert enough to step on the brake, or if not, unfazed if the other car smashes into his cab’s rear end. Oblivious to fender benders, he’ll just laugh at you as you thrust the middle finger up in frustration. Yes sir, there are mad Zombies plying the streets of NYC. Why take the risk?

Ah, New York City! That fabulous city by the Hudson River that has mesmerized the world.  As glamorized in the popular ditty New York New York, New York City is “King of the Hill”, “Top of the Heap” kind of city. I can’t venture to describe this exciting city otherwise.

Why is New York City so electrifying?  Let’s count the ways:

An ultra modern city whose towering skyline never fails to amaze - drawing oohs and ahs from hordes of tourists and locals as well- which even the demise of the World Trade Center didn’t fail to diminish.

Newark Airport Transportation

Author: User Imagescattered brain (Who am I?)  /  Category: Travel and Leisure

America has always have this love affair with cars. And it follows Americans are passionate about driving which became a culture thing - the thrill, adventure and excitement of driving are yours for the taking, the freedom to go where the wind blows - anywhere and everywhere which you don’t want to be denied. Driving is the way to go be it on the byways and highways or through the boroughs and neighborhoods of the inner cities of America.

Not anymore! With the price of gasoline skyrocketing, virtually going through the roof with no end in sight, more and more Americans are looking for alternative means of transportation and leaving the ubiquitous, one-all use-all car at home. Does this mean the death knell for this American way of life?

Tagaytay Field Trip ‘08

Author: User Imagescattered brain (Who am I?)  /  Category: Personal, Travel and Leisure

My son and I went to Tagaytay last Thursday, July 17th for his class educational field trip to Tagaytay - I the mommy acting as chaperon. But more than that I thought it was a good time to bond with my son.  We woke up at 5am to give us enough time to prepare ourselves - the assembly time being 7am at Camella School. We departed at around 7:30am cause we have to wait for the latecomers. (You know Filipino time) I must admit I’m one of them.. hahaha!

Anyway, our first destination was Paradizoo Theme Farm, we arrived there at 9:30am; it is located in Mendez, Cavite some few minutes away from Tagaytay. They breed and take care of different farm animals and nurture various trees, vegetables and flowers. We had lunch there at around 11:30am. Sid had a whale of a time and immensely thrilled by horseback riding.

Our second destination was The Residence Inn, one of the more popular destination among visitors to  Tagaytay and for field trips among students in  Metro Manila and adjacent towns and cities. It has a conference hall, restaurant, rooms for rent, playground, and several view decks where you can have a panoramic view of the famous Taal Volcano.

After Residence Inn, our last stop was in Collettes store and fruit stand. We bought 2 boxes of Buco Pie, Boat Tart, fresh Pineapples, Papaya and Avocados for pasalubong (present).

My son Sid really enjoyed the trip, we were talking on our way back home. He was really happy and enjoyed the trip a lot. He said he would love to go back to Tagaytay again and again. Well, his last trip to Tagaytay when he was 4 years old. When we got home I was very exhausted. Ifelt like I lost 10 pounds (I wish!) cause I’ve been walking.. walking and walking and his yaya for the whole day trip… hehehe! But it’s worth it. It was a good break for me from the hustle and bustle of work but more importantly the bonding between mom and son should yield dividends and reinforce our love for each other.  We both agree that we should come back with the whole family next time…
