UK Visa Common Interview Questions

Thursday, 1st of May 2008 - I completed my application and booked my appointment online.

You must take your printed application, supporting documents and the appropriate fee to the UK VAC MANILA office on the agreed date and time of your appointment. Your application will not be accepted at any other location. Failure to submit documents to the UK VAC MANILA office will result in a delay and/or lead to the refusal of your application.

Tuesday, 3rd of June 2008 - After we sorted out all the supporting docs and paid visa fee in peso by BDO Manager’s check I personally lodged our application in Manila UK VAC office.

Thursday, 10th of July 2008 - Fiancé called for an interview for some clarifications regarding our visa application. He brought all the supporting documents to the Immigration office in UK.
Here are the some common questions asked during my fiancé’s interview.

  1. How long have you known your fiancée?
  2. Have you met this person face to face?
  3. When did you meet your fiancée?
  4. Where did you first meet your fiancée?
  5. Have you been supporting your fiancée?
  6. Do you support her regular and how much do you support her with?
  7. What made you go for a visitor’s visa?
  8. Who will be looking after the kids while she is away?
  9. Why is she leaving them behind?
  10. Will you be supporting then? (My two boys)
  11. Do you support any other members of her family?
  12. How many bedrooms do you have?

Tuesday, 15th of July 2008- It’s on our 5th day after the interview. We’ve just tracked our application, still the same result (Your visa application has been forwarded to the British High Commission 03 Jun 2008).

The ECO in Makati may pass your application but then they pass the information on to the ECO in the country you are planning to go, then it is there decision if they approve your application or not.

    Pls check this link.

  4. scattered brain Says:

The ECO in Makati are the ones who receive the application forms, they review the application and decide if it should be approved or not, then they advise the ECO in the country you are applying for,but it is the decision of that countries ECO weather to accept you or refuse you.
