To some a Diploma is just a piece of paper, not a good measure of a person’s intelligence. All it says that you passed a course or put in another way, you’ve got just a degree tucked under belt. But does having a diploma guarantee you’ll be successful in life?? A person’s “SMART” – how make use of your ability to achieve your goals, is your ticket to success. Throw in determination, passion and hard work and you’re on your way.
I am undergrad of the College of Business Management, major in Entrepreneurship, of the UPHR with just two subjects to go, namely Marketing Management and Business Policy & Strategic Planning, before I graduate.
I wanted to enroll at UPHR this summer but unfortunately I was informed the subjects are not being offered for the current summer classes. According to the UPHR adviser I talked with, one alternative which is the direction I did 2 weeks ago, is for me to take the subjects in another college if the said school will take me in.
Accordingly, I approached St. Francis of Assisi College where I was advised to 1st get the “go-signal” – in effect a letter from UPHR stating that UPHR is agreeable to the arrangement for me to take the subjects at St. Francis for the “necessary credits” prelude to graduation.
Unfortunately, the dean of the College of Business Management won’t allow me to take the subjects in St. Francis because those are my major subjects. He said, all major subjects are supposed to be taken in the same school. I was very disappointed! I can’t do anything about it, that’s their “POLICY”! Got no choice but to take the tutorial class, which means I have to pay doubled! Imagine I will pay 28K for two subjects and misc fee??! If they’ve had allowed me to take them in another school, I only paid half of the amount said. But it’s OK, I know God is good, He’ll provide everything. No pain.. No glory!
Anyway, my enrollment still on process, I’ve been patiently waiting for two weeks now. Earlier today I rang the school to follow-up my application but still at the accounting department.
Hopefully, they’ll get it done tomorrow! Wish me luck!
